The movie "Jurassic Park" is 20 years old this year. A 3D re-release of the movie hit theaters Friday. What better time than now for a "where are they now" story for the great dinosaur adventure. One of the actors, Ariana Richards lives in Salem.
In baseball there's a statistic - a save. It's where a pitcher comes in, protects a lead and saves the game for his team. Well, there was the ultimate save on the University of Portland baseball team this winter and it had nothing to do with the outcome of a game.

Eli Walker, a 5-year-old from Wilsonville, had contracted leukemia, followed by Guillain-Barre syndrome before he's granted a trip to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
These 2nd and 3rd graders playing for the Beavers and the Chiefs (sorry, no little Ducks team) could care less about the big kids down south once their game time arrives.
Nathan Herz, 11, can do a lot more than just juggle three tennis balls for a few seconds. Herz' lightning-fast hands and coordination allow him to keep up to six balls in the air at one time - for a long time.

One crash sends a car onto its top, but its OK, these drivers, some as young as 5 years old, are fully protected by roll cages, helmets and safety restraints.
At the Marshall Community Center, it looks like some of the Little All-Stars have mixed in some tumbling routines as well. In the end, a fun time was had by all, no matter what sport was taking place on the pitch.
Hitting, fielding, throwing and base running are all part of the game, and these T-ball champs in the Fort Vancouver Little League also throw in some dance moves as well.
These future bull riders and barrel runners are getting their first taste of life in the rodeo arena with some high-speed rides on some ill-tempered sheep at the Vancouver Mutton Chops Rodeo.
How do Olympic gymnasts get their start learning all the tumbling, balance-beaming and pommel-horsing? Most likely like this week's Little All-Stars, who were learning the basics at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center facility.
Events included the usual track and field activities, including a true test for any athlete: the high jump. Sure, it's an easy win when the bar is set low, but as it goes higher, the little Fosburys-in-training find it tough to clear the mark. Still, some do!
You can tell these kindergarten and 1st grade players have been staying up late watching game film as they cut, spin and rumble their way to big play after big play.
