Matt Johnson has jumped out of planes, reported from the Mayan Pyramids in Belize and ridden elephants with the villagers in Thailand.

He is an Emmy award winning journalist who loves adventure and is excited to call Oregon home.

Matt started his TV adventure as an intern at Rolling Stone Magazine in New York City and was even featured in the magazine. After graduating from California State University/Fullerton with a degree in journalism, he moved to New Mexico and worked as a multi-media journalist for KRQE in Albuquerque. Matt has also worked as a reporter for KESQ in Palm Springs, California, KTVN in Reno, Nevada and KVVU in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Most recently he worked as Reporter and Fill-in Anchor for KSWB in San Diego. During his five years there he received multiple Emmy nominations for his adventure reporting and was honored with an Emmy Award and the American Red Cross HERO Award for his breaking news coverage.

During his career, Matt has interviewed many dignitaries and celebrities. Most notable include President Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, Ellen DeGeneres and the Dancing with the Stars judges.

When not at work Matt likes to spend time at the gym, traveling the globe and watching movies.
