Carlos Faura is the Weekend Meteorologist for KATU. He joined the Weather Team in 2008. 

Carlos monitors every change in the sky with his own special brand of excitement. He attended  California State University at Northridge and polished his broadcast journalism skills at San Diego City College .  Carlos went on to earn the Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississipi State University in 2005. He also holds the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.

 

Before coming to KATU, Carlos was the morning meteorologist at KOLO-TV in Reno, Nevada for more than five years.  He also spent four years in San Diego at KFMB and KGTV as a weather producer and news writer.

 

An avid outdoorsman, Carlos loves sailing, hiking, skiing, windsurfing, fishing and many other outdoor sports.
