Doc Hendley is a regular, rough-and-tumble guy who loves booze, music, and his Harley. But in 2004, he got involved with the movement to bring awareness to the world's freshwater crisis — and discovered his life's mission. He founded an international aid organization called Wine to Water that, today, helps stricken communities repair and maintain water-containment systems in places like Darfur, Cambodia, Uganda, and Haiti. Wine to Water: A Bartender's Quest to Bring Clean Water to the World (Avery) is Hendley's story, as well as the story of the clean water movement.
