Women & Addiction - Brookhaven Retreat

One thing most people can agree upon is that the economy is struggling.  Unfortunately, one result is that more Americans are struggling with addiction.  And just as the changing economy of the past few decades has more fully embraced women, so too have the stresses of a struggling economy not spared them in its devastating fallout.

Women's health advocate and addiction expert, Jacqueline Dawes, speaks to the following:

-The impact of the economic downturn on emotional health and addiction rates

-How to battle seasonal or holiday (4th of July) depression

-When summer vacation is far from a vacation - developing healthy strategies for creating balance in your life

-Kids leaving for college - how empty nesting parents can cope

Jacqueline has a heroic story as she fought to overcome grief from the loss of a child, battled and beat addiction, and became a successful businesswoman in a new country (she's originally from the UK), with the goal of helping others who struggle with similar issues.

Jacqueline Dawes is the owner and founder of Brookhaven. For more information on the treatment of addiction and Brookhaven Retreat click HERE
