Quick Autumn Fruit Sauteé

Quick Autumn Fruit Sauteé
This warm fruit topping comes together in a snap and can be eaten on its own or alongside any other fall themed bakery treats. Use a flavorful but firm apple, such as Honeycrisp or Gravenstein, and a juicy pear, such as D’Anjou.
  • One Apple
  • One Pear
  • 1 Tbsp Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • ¼ Cup, Packed Brown Sugar
  • Nutmeg --  sprinkle on to taste
1.      Peel and core the apple and pear, and then cut into ½ inch cubes. Sprinkle Cider vinegar over cut fruit.
2.      In a nonstick pan, combine butter and brown sugar over high heat, stirring with a rubber spatula.
3.      Once butter and sugar mixture begins to foam, toss in the fruit. Continue stirring for just another minute, until the moisture begins to evaporate.
4.     Remove from heat, sprinkle on some ground nutmeg, and serve!
