Homemade Hostess Cupcakes

Cooked Whipped Frosting

Use for Filling and Frosting


-1/4th cup flour

-1 cup Milk

-1tsp Vanilla

-1/2 cup Butter

-1/2 cup Shortening

-1cup Sugar



-Cook milk and flour on the stove until thick, stirring constantly

-Cool in Fridge

-Mix with remaining ingredients until fluffly.

-Put into pastry bag and squeeze into and on top of cupcakes.

-Makes 24

*For chocolate Chambord frosting add 1/4 cup of Chambord and 10 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chopped chocolate

Cupcakes can be made using boxed cake mix.
