Kids love to help you cook but sometimes it's a bigger mess than you want. That's where a local woman came up an idea that can keep both you and your kids happy and cooking. Maureen Hotchkiss from Kids Central Kitchen came to the show to share recipes so easy that the kids can do them! (And they're healthy too!) Mixes seen on the show can be found locally-- Food Front, Kitchen Caboodle, New Seasons, Whole Foods, and Zupan's Markets. In addition to offering a fun activity, baking provides an outstanding learning opportunity: Enhance reading skills by reading simple recipe instructions. Exercise math skills through measuring ingredients. Setting a timer helps with the concept of time. Waiting helps develop the virtue of patience. Creating is important for boosting self confidence, etc. For more information click here. |
