September 18, 2007: Animal Medical and Learning Center

Today marks a milestone for the Oregon Humane Society and the animals they care for. The "animal medical and learning center" is the first 24 hour care facility to open at an animal shelter anywhere in the country!

David Lytle from the Oregon Humane Society joined us to share more on this ground breaking facility.

  • all animals can be evaluated & treated onsite
  • all animals are spayed or neutered before adoptions (those too young or injured are put in foster care until they can be spayed or neutered!)
  • ONLY open to the shelter animals at OHS
  • open house will be sometime in November

For more information contact the Oregon Humane Society at 503-285-7722 or visit their website.
