Glendi Cultural Food Festival

"Glendi" is Greek for "Celebration" and you're invited to celebrate August 20th & 21st, from 11am to 10pm at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Beaverton.

The Glendi is a celebration of ethnic cultures from around the world-- Greek, Middle Eastern, Russian and Ethiopian-- sharing their heritage through music, traditions, customs and culinary skills. Besides mouth-watering ethnic food from around the world, there will also be entertainment and children’s activities in an outdoor festival atmosphere.

Take a deep breath and enjoy what it means to celebrate “Ethnic Style” with a cup of Mediterranean coffee or frosty frappé at the “Kafenion” (Greek café). Savor a delicious pastry or sample imported cheeses, olives and other ethnic foods in our bustling indoor marketplace.

Your attendance is warmly welcomed and gives pleasure to the many members of the community who have worked diligently to prepare this 2-day special event. Come to the Glendi and partake of these fine foods, pastries, and activities…and see why you will want to come back year after year.
