"Hood to Coast" The Movie!

Competing on a 12 person team, driving in smelly vans, and running 197 miles in a 36 hour period isn’t for everyone.  Or is it? Four teams with various levels of athletic ability participate in the World’s Largest Relay race- our very own Hood to Coast. Through the pain, exhaustion, and sheer distance, they will push themselves to accomplish their personal best.

A local favorite comes to the big screen as the Hood To Coast race is captured in stunning High Definition, showing off the beauty of the Pacific Northwest as it hasn’t yet been captured.  Director Christoph Baaden, Producer Anna Campbell and "Heart N' Sole" Team Member Kathy Ryan joined us today to tell us about  the supportive nature of the people who choose to make one of America’s most beautiful regions their home and how it is captured in the microcosm of the 12 person teams that run 197 miles as a united force.  From the stunning glacier of Mount Hood, through the dense green of the douglas fir forests, and onto the expansive beaches of the Oregon coast, the audience will be delighted to share in the beauty of one of the country’s most varied terrains.

The documentary Hood to Coast opens in select theatres across the country on January 11, 2011 as well as in Portland. For movie time and locations click here.
