Oregon League of Minority Voters

Portland Blazers owner Paul Allen will be honored for his outstanding commitment to excellence and inclusion by the Oregon League of Minority Voters on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.  David Bartz Jr, a shareholder at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt is also being honored along with Allen for actively recruiting and empowering minority Lawyers and causes.

The Liberty and Hope Award Dinner which recognizes those in the majority who take extra-ordinary steps to promote excellence and opportunities for people of color, is anticipated to draw over 400 sports enthusiasts, public officials, business leaders, community leaders, and clergy members from different religious backgrounds.

Founded in 2007, a concerned group of volunteers and leaders established the OLMV to advocate for public policies that uniquely impact all people of color throughout Oregon..  It serves as a liaison between communities of color, policy leaders and the public institutions that serve them.
