"Downsized" Daughters

WE tv’s critically-acclaimed original series, " Downsized," looks at what happens when a large blended family’s life is turned upside down by financial disaster. Season one showcased the Bruce family in the midst of a financial nightmare as they watched their extravagant lifestyle of vacations, expensive dinners and a flush savings account evaporate, as their free spending ways collided with the economic reality of the recession. The family moved to a smaller home, signed up for food stamps, and traded in the kids’ coveted sporting activities for jobs.

Season Two revisits the family as they continue to dig their way out of debt. Despite small strides toward success, the Bruces are hit with unforeseen events that set them on a course toward further financial ruin, leaving viewers to question - is it bad luck or just bad choices?

Two of their daughters, Heather Bruce and Bailey Rumsey, joined us to talk about the lessons their family has learned that could help others struggling financially.
