Sail for the CureJoin the Oregon Women's Sailing Association on Sunday, September 25th to celebrate sailing, whether you have sailing experience or not, at the 12th Annual Sail for the Cure. Grab your best Hawaiian shirt or grass skirt for a Columbia River Sail between the I-5 and 205 bridges at noon. Then, hula back to the Portland Yacht Club for fun with the local Ke Kukui Foundation from 4:00 to 7:00pm. The evening will include great food and fun activities like free haircuts for the ponytail donation, a Wall of Wine, Treasure Chest Raffles, Lei-Making and Hula Classes. By 2009, the event had grown into the largest sailing event on the Columbia River. Together with the entire sailing and boating community, SFC has donated more than $270,000 to the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® – rated as a top charity for the last 4 years by Charity Navigator. |
