Work in A Workout During Busy Autumn

Put away your excuses for not working out.  Fitness Expert Beth Oliver says we can work in a workout anywhere.  She joined us today to help us keep moving when our schedules get busy this time of year.  Here are

Beth’s Top Tips to put the “Active” into fall “Activities”:

Fall is a busy time for everybody!  We get the kids back into the school year, we want to get back into our own routines, and in the back of our mind we know that the holidays are just around the corner. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of the season.

Make sure that you have good outer wear.  There are so many fun things to do in the northwest, but you don’t want a few little sprinkles to hold you back.

Actively plan it!  You are much more likely to do things that are on your schedule, weather that’s your Zumba class or family game night.

Turn seasonal chores and events into a special day.  You can create your own family fall festival by raking leaves in the morning, going to the farmers market to get seasonal veggies and then off to the pumpkin patch.  Make a dinner that uses the fresh bounty and finish off with hot cider and a spooky story.

Don’t forget to hydrate!

Before the holidays hit full force, get in the habit of using little bouts of available time, to do some full body exercises.  ( She showed an example of a good one to do during the commercial break)
