Volunteers of America Caring Appeal

Janice Bangs met with Kay Toran, CEO and President of Volunteers of America Oregon, to find out how this week a simple walk to your mailbox can help those in need. During the holidays many of us want to find a way to help but time is short so Volunteers of America has an easy way you can help make a difference. Be on the lookout for a plain brown paper bag from Volunteers of America which provides you an easy way to make a donation.

Volunteers of America services help individuals, families, and even communities, to move from instability to security, from feeling unseen and uncared for to acknowledged and affirmed, and from isolation to independence.

From victims of domestic violence to at-risk youth, from seniors trying to maintain dignity to men and women desiring to overcome substance abuse, our programs reach a wide network of children and families, those who need and deserve nurturing, education and support, as well as a higher quality of life.
