Krista Colvin came back to the show to demonstrate how to organize our photos!

All those Photos are overwhelming…

2 part project: Krista showed us how to create a system for your current photos so that you can stay on top of it… THEN we can go back and play catch up….

1. Start Fresh Create System for current photos…

 

 

 

Need 3 PHOTO BOXES

 

BOX ONE: current photos, labeled in order (keep marker in box)

BOX TWO: negatives and disks

BOX THREE: oversized and packet photos

 

 

 

 

TAKE control of your current photos

T… Toss the bad, blurry, and blah photos

A…Act. Enter the ones you like into the album & send copies asap to family & friends

K…Keep duplicates together in the same slot

E…Edit do a little editing work by writing names, dates, and events in the album.

Organizing old photos…

tools needed:

  • photo boxes
  • post-its, marker
  • trash bag
  • mailing envelopes
  • albums

similar process but add SORTING categories

1. create categories and make signs

  • time (decade, life stage)
  • topic vacation, sports
  • by person

2. TAKE back control
