Salvation Army Giving Tree

By AM Northwest Staff

Each Christmas, thousands of low-income families receive food, toys and other help from The Salvation Army. Families who qualify for assistance receive at least two age-appropriate toys per child. Last Christmas, The Salvation Army distributed over 12,500 toys to less fortunate children in the Portland metro area last Christmas. The Angel Giving Trees will also include opportunities to give to the elderly in need.

Trees located at the following malls—people can also donate online by going to our Family Matters page.   Washington Square, Lloyd Center, Cedar Hills Shopping Center

Trees go up Fri., Nov. 23 (the day after Thanksgiving) and come down Sat., Dec. 22, 2007
