Salvation Army Giving Tree
By AM Northwest StaffEach Christmas, thousands of low-income families receive food, toys and other help from The Salvation Army. Families who qualify for assistance receive at least two age-appropriate toys per child. Last Christmas, The Salvation Army distributed over 12,500 toys to less fortunate children in the Portland metro area last Christmas. The Angel Giving Trees will also include opportunities to give to the elderly in need.
Trees go up Fri., Nov. 23 (the day after Thanksgiving) and come down Sat., Dec. 22, 2007 |
