Curried Rice

Recipe from the cookbook SODALICIOUS

  • 1 ½ cups precooked rice
  • 1 ½ cups DR PEPPER
  • ½ tsp. curry powder
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or almonds

 

Cook the rice according to package directions, substituting the DR PEPPER for the water and adding the curry powder. Melt the butter and brown the pecans. Add to the cooked rice, mixing lightly. Use as stuffing for game or fowl, or serve separately.

 

Makes 4-5 servings
