White Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 ounces chopped white chocolate
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • white milk shavings (optional)


  • Saucepan
  • Whisk


  • Combine the milk and sugar in a medium heavy saucepan
  • Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture just begins to simmer and sugar dissolves
  • Add the chocolate, stir, and remove from the heat.
  • Whisk until the chocolate melts and the mixture is frothy and smooth
  • Pour into mugs or cups and top with the whipped cream and chocolate curls.
