If you have a pair of leather shoes that are in need of a good shine place some milk on a soft cloth allow it to fully dry. Once it is fully dry then buff them up. Your shoes will shine like gold.

Using dental floss to cut a large birthday cake is easy and not as messy as using a knife. Cut a peice of floss longer than the longest side of the cake. Use the floss in a back and forth sawing motion until you cut trough to the bottom. Pull the floss out from one end. (I always buy a new package of floss)

If you need to use softened butter in a recipe and don’t have time to wait for it to reach room temperature…just use the largest holes on your grater and grate it onto a plate. Let it sit about 5 minutes and its perfect for creaming in your recipes.

Remove labels off glassware etc. rub with peanut butter!

Peanut butter will get scratches out of CD's! Wipe off with a coffee filter paper.

Elmers Glue paint on your face, allow it to dry, peel off and see the dead skin and blackheads if any.

Cool whip will condition your hair in 15 min.

Pam will also remove paint, and grease from your hands! Keep a can in your garage for your hubby.

Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least 3 hours prior to burning.

Crayon on the wall - colgate toothpaste and brush it!

To remove wax - Take a paper towel and iron it over the wax stain, it will absorb into the towel.

Get gum out of your child hair by soaking the gum/hair ball in Coke for a few minutes. The gum should just slide out.

Get ink or nail polish out of carpet by spraying w/ hairspray.

If you have a spill on your upholstered furniture or the carpet, take a disposable diaper and place over the liquid. Apply firm pressure and you will be amazed how the diaper will suck up nearly all of the liquid and trap it in short order. Also, the filling from the disposable diaper can be taken out and mixed with potting soil when growing plants. The absorbent cotton and granules of the diaper will retain water and release it as the plant requires.

Do you have oily skin and like using the little oil absorbing papers you can buy at the drugstore? If so, you know the price of those little packages can be pretty expensive. The next time you are in a public restroom, stick a couple of the paper toilet covers in your purse. When you get home, cut them in small squares and you will have free oil absorbing papers. They work just as effectively as the high priced ones at the cosmetics counter and can be made in whatever sizes you need.

Soothe sunburn with a spray of white distilled vinegar, repeating as often as you like. Ice-cold white distilled vinegar will feel even better, and may prevent blistering and peeling.

Pam cooking spray will dry finger nail polish.
