Homicide Cold Cases

Dick Bogle tells us about Cold Case Homicides still unsolved in the Portland area.

Jeremiah Michael Hartman:  After pounding on the door of 4224 SE 91st, several suspects forced entry into the house. They then shot Hartman after they robbed him. This occurred January 23, 1998.

Tyrone M. Hayes: Upon hearing gunshots got up from inside his home at 5811 NE Killingsworth, he went outside to investigate, and was shot to death on May 11, 1994.

Robert & Frieda Wheatley: On August 29, 1988, police responded to a welfare check at 2612 N Holman and discovered the bodies of 61-year-old Robert Wheatley and his wife Frieda.  The motive appears to be a residential robbery and the medical examiner determined the cause of death to be strangulation.

Edward Victor Morgan: He was known as the mayor of NE 42nd Ave. was a drive-by shooting victim.  May 29, 1994, as he walked in his neighborhood he was shot.  Morgan, then 47 years old was mentally impaired and beloved by those he encountered on his walks.

Michael Anthony Yiggins: His body was found shot to death, July 11, 1996, near the playground of Woodland park.  He was 22 years old.
