From Storyteller to Farmer

Michael Perry, the beloved author of Population: 485 and Truck: A Love Story, is back with COOP: A Year of Poultry, Pigs, and Parenting. Newly installed in a rickety Wisconsin farmhouse with thirty-seven acres of overgrown farmland, a handful of chickens on order, a pig pen to build, and a baby due to be born in the upstairs bedroom (“The first time my wife proposed this, I laughed in a Hahaha! Good one! sort of way…”). Perry plumbed his unorthodox farm kid past  for clues to navigating the present.

Michael has a talk and booksigning at 7:30 tonight at Powell's located at 1005 W Burnside.
