Animal Enrichment Center

Janice Bangs was at the Animal Enrichment Center in Vancouver, Washington today.  She spoke with Megan-Kate Colwell who showed us how the trainers there teach dogs to be a well-mannered members of their families.

Bark-B-Que

  • Animal Enrichment Center
  • 2613 ne 114th ave Vancouver, Wa 98684
  • 10am-5pm July 25th and 26th.

It is an event for owners to bring their dogs and discover what interests and instincts their dog may have. 

  • Sheep herding
  • Dock diving (North West Air Dogs),
  • Lure Course
  • Sulkie demonstrations
  • Demonstrations of Tracking and Search & Rescue
  • Guest speaker Harry Oaks -- who has one of the world's best Search & Rescue teams. 
  • Pet nutrition expert Chip Sammons --  will be talking at 11:00am on July 25th.
  • Polly with Coastal Primate Rescue will be talking about her rescue and showing videos about her sanctuary. 
  • The Animal Enrichment Center team will be talking about training and behavior modification. 
  • Info on grooming and health. 
  • East Padden Animal Hospital will be there holding a microchip clinic.
     

Many Organizations will be on site with info and/or pets for adoption:

  • South West Washington Humane Society,
  • Golden Bond Rescue, Grey Hound Pets of America, and
  • Coastal Primate Rescue   

And, or course,  there will be food, live music, and a beer & wine garden.
