The Climate Change Debate

Greg Craven, a local science teacher, had grown tired of the global warming debate when he decided a new approach was needed to better evaluate the controversial issue.  His mission truly began with his engaging YouTube video, “The Most Terrifying Video You’ll Ever See,” which focuses not on what to think about global warming but how to think about this issue.

Greg then took his innovative and inspired approach and put it into book form "What's the Worst That Could Happen?"

What Greg has to say about his book:

“Look.  I didn’t want to write a book…But my need to safeguard my two young daughters drove a compulsion that just wouldn’t leave this issue alone…If ever there was a time to risk being uncomfortable or inconvenienced because the potential payoff is so big, now is it.  Because whatever you think will happen with global warming—a boondoggle that tanked the economy with unneeded action, or a threat to civilization in our lifetime—you’ve got to admit, we’re currently running the experiment.  And no matter what the result, we’re in the test tube.  Isn’t it worth looking into further?”

Greg will have a book signing event at 7:30 pm on September 21st at Powell's Books located at 3723 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland.
