Sun salutations are a great way to start your day! 

  • A salutation is a simple sequence of movements that are linked together and done in a fluid style. 
  • A salutation stretches and lengthens every part of your body, gets your blood flowing and your joints moving.
  • Because you use a deep full style of breathing, salutations also have a calming effect on the body. 
  • It's kind of like when you get out of bed and just intuitively do a big overhead stretch as you yawn...you just take that action a little farther and you've got a sun salutation! 
  • Easy for anyone to do, because there a lots of ways to help yourself through.
