Host a Holiday DInner Party

Chef Tse joined us with great recipe ideas for hosting a holiday dinner party.

Here are Chef Tse's tips for hosting a successful dinner party:

  1. Keep it Simple -- Stick with dishes you know and are comfortable with.  If you want to have a show-stopping dish, pick just one.
  2. Practice -- If you're going to try a new dish, practice it beforehand -- that way you'll have a better idea of how the dish comes together.
  3. Make it in Advance -- Try to make as much in advance as possible to relieve stress in the kitchen.
  4. Keep Appetizers Light -- Serve fresh and raw items to start.  They should whet your guests' appetite, not cover it up.
  5. Pace Yourself -- Instead of serving everything at one, serve in courses and linger over dinner.  You'll enjoy the conversation more AND eat less!
