Vancouver Radiologists on Mammogram Guidelines

Erik Kilgore, MD, from Vancouver Radiologists joined us to talk about the mammogram guidelines they recommend.  They follow the American Cancer Society's recommendation of getting a screening mammogram starting at age 40.  Those at high risk for breast cancer should also get an MRI.

Dr. Kilgore also talked about the imaging services at Vancouver Radiology that set them apart, including a way to make mammograms a more comfortable experience.  They offer all patients digital mammograms which now include the MammoPad breast cushion. Digital mammography is the latest technology in the fight against breast cancer and MammoPad is a soft, foam pad that creates a cushion between you and the mammography machine. So you can relax, knowing your mammogram will be warm and comfortable with confident results.
