Looking for a cool, air conditioned palce to let your kids make a mess and express their creativity? Shannon Grosswiler told us about the Portland Children's Museum Kids Build Summer Exhibit which is open now - September 26th. In Kids Build a monster building studio awaits those 5 and up. Building, stacking, sorting and experimenting with recycled and traditional building materials will keep all ages busy!

Kids Build Open Daily 9am-5pm.
Kids Build Studio open 10am-4pm every day (Garage is closed).
Jr. Builders Age 6-7, August 9-13 or August 16-20, 2-5 p.m.
Learn about places and spaces. Answer the building questions of Who? What? When? Where? Why? Through the use of wood blocks, cardboard blocks, recycled materials and various art-mediums, explore drawing, scale model-building and storytelling. Includes private time in the summer building exhibit. Limited to 12 children. 
Sr.Builders Age 8-10, August 23-27
Choose from: 1/2 Day (9am-12pm): Community Building - Each student will work with various art and building mediums to design individual and collaborative projects around the theme of community. Includes private time in the summer building exhibit. Limited to 12 children.
Full Day (9am-5pm): Leaning Places - Join the team at PCM to explore the design of school, exhibits and parks through this interactive class. Use art and building mediums to create scale drawings and models. Includes private time in the summer building exhibit. Limited to 12 children.
And, Saturdays in August: Baby Woodstock Saturday Music Festival
Listen to fabulous tunes, tie-dye your favorite items for free (or buy a bandana for $2) and create friendship bracelets from 3-4pm.
