Documentary on Local Legend Fred Noble's Battle with ALS
In December 2010, ski adventurer and world traveler Fred Noble was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. Since his diagnosis, Fred has dedicated his time to raising funds and awareness about the disease. Fred has faced this final, most challenging obstacle in his life with vigor and fortitude, working to inspire his friends and others to join him in his quest to do as much as he possibly can to help eradicate the disease. He joined us, along with filmmaker Andrea Johnson and Lance Christian. Executive Director of ALS Association of Oregon & SW Washington.
Andrea is the director of "The Noble Spirit", a documentary detailing Fred's battle with ALS and his work to eradicate the disease. Over the months and years she followed Fred, he came to be more than just the subject of her film- he became a friend. There will be several upcoming screenings of the documentary. This is the first:
For the third straight year, Fred is the Honorary Chair of "Ski to Defeat ALS." His goal is to raise more than $150,000 this year, bringing he total fundraising efforts during his three years to $500,000!
