Household Hints for Summer
Use Mustard or Soy Sauce Packets as mini ice packs. Just get extra packets with a tak
It's time for a fresh batch of Household Hints:
--Use mustard or soy sauce packets as mini ice packs. Just get extra packets with a take-out meal, put them in the freezer. They make great mini ice packs for tiny boo-boos and kids love them.
--Put earrings in an ice cube tray to separate them by pairs. They fit in most drawers and can be stacked. It also works for necklaces.
--Use Crazy Glue to “fix” a paper cut—stays stuck, unlike band-aids (it is used instead of sutures at most hospitals)
--Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don't dry cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out.
--Use coffee filters as a disposable "snack bowl" for popcorn, chips, etc. It’s quick and easy and disposable… and keeps items contained unlike a napkin
--Keep your kids hands cleaner this summer—get sponges from discount/dollar store and cut them in quarters, cut a slit in the middle and use as drip catchers on popsicles and ice cream bars that have a stick.
--Don't you hate it when you have to start a fire and little bits of newspaper are flying everywhere? Next time, air-dry orange peels, which contain flammable oils that burn longer, and use those instead of the paper. The delicious smell is a bonus.
-- Next time you drop a wine glass or break a plate, grab a slice of bread to help you clean up. After you pick up the larger pieces of glass, press the bread over the area and it will pick up all the tiny shards you can't see.
