Lewy Body Dementia

When legendary Radio DJ Casey Kasem was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, this little known and oft-misdiagnosed cause of dementia was thrust into the national spotlight.

Neurologist, Dr. Elise Anderson, with the Providence Brain and Spine Institute, explained symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia and what can be done for it. Kathy Teyler Jarrett, author of You Are Not Alone: Dealing with Lewy Body Dementia, shared her husband Ben's struggle with LBD. Kathy has started a caregivers support group which meets the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1 - 2:30 pm at GenTog Adult Day Care located at 11535 SW Durham in Tigard.
