Mental Health: FamilyCare Health Plans & NAMI Oregon

Dayna Steringer, Director of Government Affairs for FamilyCare Health Plans, joined us today to tell us how FamilyCare has been serving Oregon since 1984.   She was joined by Chris Bouneff, Executive Director for Nation Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Oregon.

FamilyCare takes care of not only their members, but the communities in which their members live by educating and informing members about the benefits of preventive care, including screenings and doctor visits, which are covered at no cost on both of their Medicare and Medicaid plans.

In addition, FamilyCare Health Plans supports many community events, including the NAMI Northwest Walk which helps raise public awareness and funding for services for mental illness.

For more information on the NAMI Walk on May 20, visit their website.  To find out more about FamilyCare Health Plans call 503-798-CARE (2273) or 800-735-2900 or visit their website for more more information.
