Oregon Ag Fest

Oregon Ag Fest is a family event featuring an incredible array of hands-on, interactive activities, set in a fun-filled, festive atmosphere to help kids learn where their food and fiber comes from. Sherry Kudna and Liz Schaecher joined us today to share all there is to see, do and learn at Oregon Ag Fest.

The weekend of family fun includes: Meet “Nosey” the cow, Race a mini pedal tractor, Watch chicks hatch, See a sheep get a haircut, Listen to live music and enjoy family entertainment. Plant seedlings, ride a pony, meet cows, rabbits, and other farm animals. Take a horse-drawn wagon ride. Visit garden & craft booths Watch cooking demonstrations, taste local foods and more!

To experience an “Old-Fashioned Country Fair,” head to the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem on Saturday, April 26, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 27, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Children 12 and under are admitted for free (parking is also free). Admission is $9 for 13 and over.
There will be plenty to do and see at this year’s event for all ages. All activities center around locally grown products, which allows families to celebrate the wonderful and diverse world of Oregon agriculture.
