Portland: One of America's Funniest Cities
As they traveled the world for their new book, The Humor Code: A Global Search for What Makes Things Funny, Professor of Marketing and Psychology Peter McGraw and journalist Joel Warner noticed that humor often has a local flavor. This observation eventually led to the Humor Code’s most controversial question: What are the funniest cities in the United States?
Peter McGraw joined us today to share how they collect the data and the parameters they used to measure a city's sense of humor.
Peter will join a panel discussion tonight at 7:30 at Powell's Books located at 1005 W Burnside in Portland. It is free to attend!
