Reupholster Furniture Yourself

A good quality piece of furniture with strong bones has so much potential, even if the upholstery has seen better days. Family heirlooms, thrift shop steals, and flea market finds could bring so much character to a room, but their saggy cushions, dated fabric, and out-of-style design details leave many pieces stowed away. In her new book, Spruce: A Step-by-Step Guide to Upholstery and Design, Amanda Brown shows even beginners how to reupholster their own furniture. She joined us to give us a look at what it takes to reupholster a wing chair.
