For steamed broccoli:

Bring water to a bowl, turn burner to medium high,  insert steamer basket (with broccoli inside basket), put on a lid, let steam for 4 minutes. Put broccoli into ice water to stop cooking, drain well and serve. Brandie's family enjoys broccoli with simple mayonaise.
