Stars from Broadway's "Memphis"

The 2010 Tony Award-Winning Musical Memphis made it debut in Portland last night.  It's the story of Huey Calhoun -- a white DJ in the 1950's who breaks the rules of the segregated south when he falls in love with an African American singer and her music.

We were joined today by the star of Memphis, Bryan Fenkart - and his on-stage mamma, Julie Johnson.  (You might recognize Julie's Voice.  She played Baby Bop on PBS's Barney)

"Memphis" runs through Sunday at the Keller Auditorium.  For more information, including where to buy tickets, check out the Broadway Across America website.
