It's time for tulips! Right now the more than 30 acres of fields are in full bloom at the annual Tulip Festival. You'll see red, white, yellow, pink, purple, red and candy-cane-striped tulips everywhere! The festival is part garden and part carnival. Small rides are available for children, as are sandboxes and water toys. A truck with paintball equipment allows kids and adults alike to “paint” a set of large wooden tulips set up as targets. Wooden Dutch children with their faces cut out are set up around the tulip field for sweet photo opportunities. And then there is the food. Festival-goers can snack on kettle corn, bratwursts, Mexican food and much more.
