Volunteer with Youth
P:ear : Builds positive relationships with transitioning and homeless youth population through education, art and recreation. Each year our programs serve almost 900 homeless and transitional young people ages 15 to 24.
Children's Healing Arts Project Brings the healing power of art to children in crisis and their families through a mobile team of teaching artists working in partnership with hospitals, schools, community organizations and local businesses, creating programs through which children are known for their creativity and ingenuity and not by their disease, diagnosis, or disability. CHAP has created art classes tailored to the needs of the children and families we serve in our partner facilities: Doernbecher Children's Hospital,Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Center, Knight Cancer Institute and Shriners Hospital for Children.
Junior Achievement:Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. Volunteers deliver curriculum to kindergarten-12th graders to foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.
Oregon Mentors: Oregon Mentors is a nonprofit organization and the statewide partnership for youth mentoring programs serving nearly 100 programs in almost 500 sites across the state. We're the state's expert and advocate for youth mentoring. Our mission is to expand positive life opportunities for all young Oregonians by connecting them with caring mentors. Not a direct service organization but one that can put you in touch with a direct service organization that fits your mentoring/volunteering needs.
