Women and Heart Health

Cardiovascular disease is often thought of as a men’s health issue, but it kills more women than the next three causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. The news for younger women is not good – death rates have increased and survival rates after one year have decreased. Dr. Lori Tam, Cardiologist with Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, shared what every woman needs to know about her risk factors for heart disease and what you can do prevent it.
