"Writing Myself" Documentary

“Writing Myself,” a cinema-verite documentary by award-winning Portland filmmaker Brian Lindstrom, premieres Thursday June 14 at Cinema 21, 616 NW 21st at 7 pm. The film follows students from Alliance School – Portland's only night high school – as they work with writing coaches and actors from PlayWrite Inc. Each student writes an original play driven by personal experiences, and directs professional actors in a closing performance. Students Zade and Aurora joined us today along with PlayWrite Inc. founder Bruce Livingston and Filmmaker Brian Lindstrom.

Following the 7 pm screening, there will be a Q and A with the students and writing coaches.
