Your Cat: The Owner's Manual
How could we live without them, but what happens when furniture is in shreds? And our cats are peeing every place but the litter box? And, allergies are making it hard to love them? Dr. Marty Becker, “America’s Veterinarian,” addresses these issues and more in his newest book “Your Cat: The Owner's Manual: Hundreds of Secrets, Surprises, and Solutions for Raising a Happy, Healthy Cat.”
Cats are the most popular pets in America. According to the American Pet Products Association, there are approximately 86.4 million pet cats in the United States (more cats than dogs) and on average, each cat-loving household has two felines. For more than 16 years, Dr. Becker has been the popular veterinary contributor to ABC-TV's Good Morning America and is now a member of Core Team Oz on The Dr. Oz Show.
Dr. Becker has a book signing event today from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the PETCO located at 305 South East Chkalov Dr. in Vancouver.
Here's a list of the products demonstrated by Dr. Becker.

Much like a plug-in deodorizer, the Feliway Diffuser emits a synthetic copy of your cat’s natural facial pheromone, used by felines to mark their territory as someplace safe and secure. Oil vapor carrying the pheromone will rise in a column of warm air above the Diffuser and prevent your kitty from urinating to mark its territory. Using pheromonatherapy to help soothe your pet is a new field in veterinary medicine. This scent in a room will help reassure your cat while it copes with a challenging new situation.
