Police: Boy, 16, turns himself in after fight at Sunset HS

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Beaverton police said Sunset High School was put into lockout for about one hour while officers searched for a boy who left the school after a fight with another student Thursday morning.

Police spokesman Mike Rowe said the boy left in a vehicle. Police were concerned that the boy would return to continue the fight.

Rowe said the 16-year-old boy later turned himself in to police. He is not enrolled at Sunset High School. The boy will be charged with two counts of harassment, Rowe said.

Officers searched for the student from Sunset High School to Cedar Hills Boulevard, Rowe said.

Sunset was placed into lockout as a precaution. The lockout was lifted at 9:15 a.m.
