PORTLAND, Ore. – It may be a bit soggy, but the Rose Festival fireworks are still set to go on Friday night.
The fireworks display will force the closure of the Hawthorne Bridge during the show.
Starting at 9:30 p.m., the bridge will close to all vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The span is expected to re-open by 11 p.m., police said.
The fireworks can best be seen from Tom McCall Waterfront Park or from the east bank of the river between the Hawthorne and Marquam Bridges.
If you can't make it to the show, you can at least check out timelapse of a past display posted on Vimeo.
