PORTLAND, Ore. – Remember when 70-year-old Larry Allen was hit in the head with a skateboard while he was working outside the Portland Outdoor Store in July?

Police say they have a suspect and they’d like help tracking him down.

Though witnesses said a large number of transients were involved in the assault, detectives identified 18-year-old Daniel Dorson as the man they said hit Allen with the skateboard.

Dorson is white, 5-foot-9, 200 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Allen was beaten unconscious while hosing off the sidewalk and ended up with 15 stitches.

"They were just angry,” he said later that week. “I was just disturbing their area there with water.”

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
