PORTLAND, Ore. - A 54-year-old man who went missing from his foster home in Southeast Portland has been found safe, police said Thursday.

Douglas Eichler went missing around 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 9300 block of Southeast Ramona Street, although police did get a report that he might have been in Lownsdale Square near Southwest 3rd Avenue and Main Street a few hours later.

He is known to frequent downtown Portland (specifically the public library and Pioneer Courthouse Square) and knows how to use TriMet.
