GRESHAM, Ore. - Gresham Police are asking the public to help them identify several people seen on video fighting at a roller skating rink in January.
Police said the fight took place at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Skateworld on NE Kelly Avenue.
The victim is an employee of Skateworld who was trying to stop a fight along with other employees when someone took a swing at him, according to police.
In the video, the employee, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and has not been identified, then began fighting with several people. The brawl spilled out an exit door as customers, some holding small children, looked on.
Injuries to the security guard were minor according to police, but the persons who attacked the man could face third-degree assault charges.
The incident was captured by four separate video cameras inside the business. Click PLAY VIDEO in the photo above to watch the raw footage.
Gresham Police ask that anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video to contact them.
Dear KATU,
You clearly have no time to enforce your policy of "Keep it clean, keep it civil, keep it truthful, stay on topic, be responsible. Share your knowledge and please suggest removal of comments that violate these standards."
But then again, why deny us such an entertaining train wreck?
It's good to be reminded of how blatantly juvenile and racist this town really is...
People can get just plain stupid in a heartbeat. This makes a great advertisement for the return of chain gangs here in Portland.
Looks like a bunch of punks that need to be flogged in the middle of town. How badass will they feel after having some of the skin peeled off their backs as punishment for being idiotic? Flogging Fridays, that's what we need.
@realist101 They were probably flogged as young children and that's where they learned it from. Now violence is the way they know to resolve issues with people that aren't doing what you want. Yet you want to continue the cycle of violence and flog them for the flogging they did because of the flogging they already took which taught them to do this. Maybe we need to teach a different lesson.

@Dr. Rawdog Oh, yeah -- there's tons of exciting recreation destinations in Gresham proper.  Not so much in the burbs.
Talk to the animals
 Walk with the animals.......

gee wont even comment on the obvious,fine up standing youths with an entitlement complex.
My dad used to take me there on Saturdays when I was a kid, especially when it was raining. Always fond memories.
I was going to say how back then there wasn't minority trash and gangs and the crime train... and then I remembered how Parkrose and Reynolds kids used to brawl behind the Village Theater on 121st and Halsey, and most of the time nobody ever even knew about it but all of their friends. BB-gun fights at Glendoveer at night...Â
this is a gang of people whom have been on the news before in small stores =snatch and grab is the crime they are most known for......
These people realize this isn't roller derby, right?
@The Resistance maybe they need roller derby to get all that energy out?

@ShayNayNayNot @Becky Cornelius Wow!  You two show up here to make your "first" comments and this is the foul-mouthed garbage you bring with you?  You're both absolutely disgusting pigs.
They should require you be 6'2+, built like a brick house, and know combat hapkido to work at places like this
"12 Angry Men" it ain't.
Ebonics and Spanish can you get ebonics on Rossetta Stone?
Hmmmm.....flash rob at Lloyd Center, brawling at a Gresham roller rink, flashing a gun on Max....anyone notice anything in common with these 3 and several other incidents? I know I do.
@scoreboard look like the same gang=gray hooded sweaters and red bandanas on there head in last videoÂ
@scoreboard yep...they all have a masters in criminology....
@scoreboard Yes.  They're all illegal acts committed by teenagers.  Pretty sure that's not what you're intimating, but other than trying to inflame, what would your other point be?
@Sundowner @scoreboard You're right. That's not what I'm intimating. I'm pretty sure you know what I am intimating though, albeit I am stereotyping but I think it's pretty clear why.
its not sterotyping if facts present themselves as fact,sky is blue and grass is green,make of that as you will.
@scoreboard It's difficult not to stereotype since we've seen so much negativity in print and on the news regarding black teenagers, but there's plenty going on with teenagers of every race and background.  It's a sad situation, and I'm very grateful my children are grown.  But my grandchildren have to go to school every day with the fear of being the next kids bullied by their white peers....so far they've been lucky.  Signs of the times, I guess.Â
Black teenagers are some of the most exploited groups of people there are. Some get it a fight, race is an issue. It's a shame because I know a lot of smart, successful black people, but that is rarely shown in the media, and if it is, affirmative action or some word of privilege is thrown around. People fight unfortunately. I hope a level of peace can be attained one day where positive action is at a premium.
3d degree assault is a not a felony... I looked it up... it is fine/ticket ... it is still unacceptable violence, but on the scale of seriousness  this is the crime when bruising and cuts are NOT apparent..why the city wide search ?
@Gregory A. Freemont Are you saying the perpetrators shouldn't be punished because it's not a "serious" crime?
Staff did an excellent job of trying to break it up. They are to be commended and should get a bonus.
The problem is that the people in the brawl would not respond to reason. Hopefully they find the people involved and add to their existing criminal record (which is a high probability).
@RalphCramden ---- I'm betting pepper spray would've helped clear the place.
@The Resistance
Yea, but it would have drove everyone out and then the smell would have been there for a while. They got them out the door and it because SEP. Someone Else's Problem
from showing guns on CrimeMet, to flash robbery now they are causing problems at the ice rink? Obama come save your "brothas and sistas" man has clearly been keeping them down too long....
@toobadsoosad ObamaBomb (see 'Godwin's Law).
Warning:Â This video is a waste of time, you will waste 2 minutes that cannot come back again!
@portlandborn83 @B Smizzle I find if I never (well, almost never) watch the video clips, I 'miss' the ads and I get to keep those 2+ minutes for cooler stuff.  Like chewing out that 'rnm' guy right below this for his lame "you live in your mother's basement" comment.  I wanted to tell him he needs some new material, but I didn't want to be mean.
@portlandborn83Â Actually 2:35.....2:19 for the video and 16 seconds to send this reply!
Who doesn't love a good Gresham roller rink rumble story? Â It has the makings for a new reality show, doesn't it? Â "Next time on 'Rollin' Through The Hood'..."
@Sundowner ( o ) so funny i like that
@Sundowner I have a strong feeling you live in your mother's basement. Just sayin.
@rnm Oh, ouch!  I guess I struck a nerve with the Gresham dig, eh?  You've certainly got me all figured out.  Well, except for the part about a basement, since my mother's house doesn't have one.  And the fact that my mother's been dead for around 25 years.  Oh, and the fact that I'm a grandmother so *probably* wouldn't be living with the folks.  Let's see,  did I miss anything?  Now shooooo!
@Sundowner Bazinga!
Perpetuating your negative stereotype one unfair beatdown at a time.
That's completely unfair to say. I mean, they probably don't even know what 'Perpetuating' means.
I wouldn't want to skate at that place.  I wouldn't want to work at that place.Â
Rabble rabble rabble!!!
