Police: Girl grabbed by stranger, gets away in Gresham

GRESHAM, Ore. – Police say they’re looking for a man who grabbed a 15-year-old girl Tuesday morning.

The girl was able to get away by kicking him, Lt. Claudio Grandjean, with the Gresham Police Department, said.

The girl told police the man grabbed her from behind between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. near Southeast Palmblad and Palmquist.

The girl was walking home from Springwater Trail High School.

The girl told police the man was in his 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with thin blond or light brown facial hair. He was wearing a brown baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The girl didn’t know the man, Grandjean said.
