Moonstruck Chocolate pulls plug on Lake Oswego

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- Moonstruck Chocolate Co. will close its Lake Oswego cafe.

The shop's last day will be May 26.

The Portland-based chocolatier announced its decision Wednesday, saying the location at 45 S. State St. is "not ideal," and that the expiration of its lease offered an opportunity to search for a better site.

Moonstruck said it is looking for a new location to complement the remaining four Portland café's, which are in downtown at Pioneer Place and at Southwest Alder and Sixth, on Northest 23rd Ave. and in Beaverton Town Center.

The Lake Oswego employees will be offered positions at other cafés, it said.

Lake Oswego fans can still get their Moonstruck fix at Zupan's Markets, New Seasons Market and Market of Choice.
